About the role
As the Corporate Pensions Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the UK, ROI and global pension strategy.
The Hiring Manager for this vacancy is Amy De Baat.
You will be responsible for
- Ensuring the delivery of corporate pension objectives including:
- Managing funding negotiations to meet corporate objectives
- Identifying and evaluating risk reduction opportunities
- Leading on strategic proposals including consulting with internal stakeholders and producing papers for Board/PLC
- Decision making
- Managing any union and member consultation process
- Leading on pension issues that arise as part of a Merger or Acquisitions
- Representing the Group in external industry working parties to influence new legislation
- Ensuring governance, compliance and internal controls for international arrangement and subsidiaries
- Managing the operation and governance of the UK Secured Unfunded Retirement Benefits Scheme
- Working with Group Finance and Investor Relations on reporting of Group Pensions and internal budgeting
- Managing life assurance arrangements and synergies across the Group
- Forecasting and managing my budgets effectively, always being cost conscious
You will need
- Up to date knowledge of current and emerging pensions legislation
- Ability to manage external consultancy fees
- Qualified Actuary
- Numerate, analytical and ability to understand and explain complex information
- Excellent communication skills
