Overview

We are looking for an organised, client-focused Account Handler to support our Account Executives and manage the day-to-day servicing of our clients’ insurance programmes. Working within a close-knit team, you will play an important role in building strong relationships with clients, insurers, and colleagues, ensuring our clients receive efficient, responsive, and high-quality service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Relationship Management
• Deliver a high standard of client service, acting as a key point of contact for clients and responding promptly to enquiries.
• Build strong relationships with farming and rural business clients, understanding their insurance needs and operations.
• Ensure clients receive clear, professional advice and support throughout the lifecycle of their policies.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding renewals, mid-term adjustments, and policy documentation.
Policy Administration
• Prepare renewal documentation and support the renewal process in conjunction with Account Executives.
• Process new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments accurately and efficiently.
• Obtain quotations from insurers and present options clearly to clients.
• Issue policy documentation and ensure records are maintained accurately on the broking system.
Insurer & Market Liaison
• Maintain strong working relationships with insurers and underwriters.
• Negotiate terms and obtain competitive quotations for clients.
• Ensure insurer requirements and compliance standards are met.
Compliance & Administration
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation in line with FCA and internal compliance requirements.
• Ensure all processes are completed in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with general office administration as required within a small team environment.
Skills & Experience
• Previous experience in a commercial insurance broking or account handling role.
• Experience within agricultural or rural insurance would be advantageous but not essential.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Acturis is highly desirable.
• A proactive and client-focused approach.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
