Allstaff Engineering Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Aluminium Fabricator, working for our client based in High Blantyre.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking fabricator to join our client’s team based in their factory within High Blantyre. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of aluminium systems (training will be provided).
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Assembly of aluminium parts
Inspect and control the quality of products to ensure compliance with drawings and customer specification requirements.
Highlight issues in the quality and/or on-time fabrication of product and ensure problems and questions are promptly resolved.
Complete the assembly of orders to ensure on-time delivery in full (OTIF) to customer requirements.
Eliminate waste and limit unproductive activity.
Ensure material issued to the shopfloor is protected and used correctly.
Maintain a high standard of personal production performance, behaviour, absence, clocking in/out and timekeeping and comply with company processes and procedures.
Comply with company H&S processes, procedures and principles.
Ensure that your work area adheres to 5S principles to ensure that the area is clean, tidy, organised and controlled.
Complete the following additional duties:
Offloading of bulk material and the safe and accurate location onto designated bulk store locations.
Ensure that you adhere to all requisite legal, health and safety, environmental and general duty of care requirements.
You may be required to undertake tasks outside of those detailed above as directed by the Production Manager and/or Management team.
Experience Required:
Previous experience working with aluminum systems or components
Comfortable with “nuts and bolts” style mechanical assembly
Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:00, Friday 07:30 to 15:00)
Location: High Blantyre
Salary: £16 to £18 per hour, depending on experience.
