What skills and experience we're looking for

Wollaston School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic full time DT teacher, with the ability to teach throughout the school from KS3 to KS4 with the option of some KS5 teaching. Applications from ECTs are welcomed as we offer a fully supported induction programme with tailored CPD including regular subject specific mentoring.

The successful candidate will be an innovative, reflective practitioner who can demonstrate the willingness to adapt and learn. We are looking for an individual with high expectations and standards who can deliver great lessons across all key stages. Whilst we are keen to hear from DT teachers with all specialisms we are keen to appoint a teacher of design technology who has training & experience in textiles or is willing to develop this aspect of their practise in order to further develop this very successful curriculum area.

We have a highly successful team of DT specialist teachers who are passionate & forward thinking & have proven excellent exam success year on year. Our students are enthusiastic & enjoy design technology & uptake at both KS4 & KS5 are good. The DT department has excellent facilities including two dedicated textile rooms, three product design rooms, a rapid prototyping room, a dedicated CNC room & a heat treatment area.
