About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Dance Teacher to join a high-performing secondary school in Kettering. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver creative, engaging and inspiring dance lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 within a supportive and forward-thinking Performing Arts department.
You will play a key role in developing students' technical ability, confidence, creativity and performance skills, contributing to both curriculum delivery and extra-curricular enrichment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Dance lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Teach a broad and balanced Dance curriculum across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
- Prepare students for assessments, performances and showcases.
- Promote creativity, teamwork, resilience and self-expression through movement.
- Contribute to enrichment activities such as performances, clubs and school productions.
- Work collaboratively within the Performing Arts team to enhance the wider creative provision.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience teaching Dance in UK secondary schools.
- Strong subject knowledge across a range of dance styles and techniques.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to motivate, inspire and build positive relationships with students.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
