Are you an experienced healthcare professional with a passion for supporting children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs?

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 6 level Nurse, Speech and Language Therapist, or Occupational Therapist with significant experience in working with young people with neurodevelopmental needs to join our Children’s Neurodevelopmental Service. You will be responsible for carrying out and completing comprehensive and standardised assessments for children and young people, supporting accurate diagnosis and tailored intervention planning.

There are 2x full-time posts available, however, the service will consider part-time with a minimum of 30 hours per week. You will be based in Norwich or King's Lynn with an expectation to travel across the County.

We are looking for two full-time (band 6 level) Qualified Nurse, Speech and Language Therapist, or Occupational Therapist, with substantial experience working with children with neurodevelopmental conditions, and proven experience in conducting assessments for autism, ADHD, or related neurodevelopmental conditions.

The postholder will be compassionate, proactive, and detail-orientated, with excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver sensitive feedback to families.

Knowledge of diagnostic processes and diagnostic criteria for neurodevelopmental conditions is essential, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and respond to tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conducting and completing detailed assessments of children and young people, focusing on neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism and ADHD including carrying out standardised assessments such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule.

- Engage with children and young people in a sensitive and age-appropriate manner.

- Engage with parents and carers in a caring and sensitive manner

- Make reasonable adjustments to appointments where needed.

- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to interpret assessment findings and contribute to diagnostic decisions.

- Providing clear and compassionate feedback to parents and carers regarding diagnostic outcomes.

- Contributing to the development of individual support and intervention plans based on assessment results.

- Ensuring all assessments are thorough, accurate, and that associated admin is completed within specified timeframes.
