We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and motivatedBand 4 Registered Nursing Associateto join our expanding Endoscopy service. You will work cross‑site between:
• Poole Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC)– opening this year with a focus on high‑volume diagnostic endoscopy, improved patient flow and earlier access to investigations.
• Royal Bournemouth Hospital– ouracute site, home to specialist and therapeutic endoscopy, including:
• Wimborne Hospital– a busy community hospital providing booked diagnostic endoscopy lists

As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver safe, high‑quality patient care within a modern and growing endoscopy service. Working acrossPoole CDC, Royal Bournemouth Hospital, andWimborne Hospitalyou will experience the full breadth of endoscopy practice, from high‑volume diagnostics to specialist and therapeutic procedures. You will deliver safe, person‑centred care across Poole CDC, Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Wimborne Hospital. Duties include preparing patients, rooms and equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, performing observations, recognising deterioration and escalating concerns promptly. You will support essential care needs such as mobility, hydration, nutrition, hygiene and skin integrity, and contribute to ongoing patient assessment within your scope of practice.

Once trained and competent, you may undertake clinical skills such as ECGs, venepuncture, cannulation and medication administration within defined parameters. You will communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, relatives and the multidisciplinary team, adapting your approach to individual needs and maintaining accurate, professional documentation.

You will uphold infection prevention, safeguarding, consent and mental capacity standards, report risks, use equipment safely and contribute to stock management and daily safety checks. As part of our team, you will support junior colleagues, participate in service improvement and maintain your professional development through mandatory training, competency progression and reflective practice.


UHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview.


If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
