About the job.

We're looking for a HR Senior Advisor - Talent to join our National Highways Talent Team. As a HR Senior Advisor within Talent, you'll deliver talent solutions to the business across emerging talent and talent management. You'll design and deliver talent interventions to meet business needs whilst ensuring that talent is attracted, retained and developed.

This role will be worked on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 2 days per week in our Snowhill Birmingham office.

  • Design talent solutions that are focused on attracting, retaining and developing talent across specific talent programmes.
  • Manage talent programmes on a day-to-day basis being the subject matter expert in your area.
  • Work with third party suppliers on the delivery of talent initiatives, managing suppliers to ensure delivery against KPI's.
  • Develop internal and external communications and guidance to support the talent strategy as well as supporting employees and line managers with the talent process.
  • Ensure data integrity, keeping all data sources up to date. Identifying any issues with data, seeking to correct errors and manage reporting and designing new reports in collaboration with other areas of HR.

About you.

  • Experience in managing talent programmes (emerging talent and/or talent management) and projects related to talent.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise critical items along with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills, working with multiple stakeholders, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers within the business and with external stakeholders.
  • In depth knowledge of at leave one area of talent (graduates, apprenticeships, talent management or work experience).
  • Experience of working in a talent role either in a resourcing or learning & development capacity.
