Summary

We are currently looking to recruit a Workshop Controller to work in our Fordstore and Transit Centre Aftersales operation at Whiffler Rd, Norwich.

This position will suit a motivated, driven and talented individual with experience in workshop control and line management, or a Service Advisor or Technician looking to take on a new opportunity and advance their career, as full training will be given. Progression is also available for those displaying the right attributes and motivation.

The successful candidate will work within a team of 2 Workshop Controllers in our busy car and light commercial vehicle workshops, reporting to the Fordstore & Transit Centre Aftersales Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing our service hub and workshops, ensuring smooth operations, providing excellent service to our customers and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

The key elements of the role are:

Controlling the flow of the work through the workshops, maximizing the efficiency of the technicians whilst ensuring our external and internal customer’s expectations are met.
Managing the team’s communication with our customers, ensuring we are keeping them informed at all stages and that all additional work is quoted, discussed, and authorized to maximize customer convenience during their visit.
Day to day management responsibility for a team within the department ensuring compliance with all Busseys and manufacturer standards and process whilst delivering fantastic levels of customer and staff satisfaction.
