Joining HM Revenue & Customs as a QAT Analyst, you will have the opportunity to take the lead in providing essential test support for updates, improvements, and development of both new and existing systems across various platforms and locations.

As a Senior QAT Analyst, you will lead test support for updates, enhancements, and development of both new and existing systems, across multiple platforms and locations. Utilising your technical expertise and knowledge you will provide support to Project and Test teams with responsibility for using DevOps principles and practices to develop Automated Testing, Operational Acceptance and Performance Testing. In addition, you will assist in developing the Team capabilities to introduce Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery across a variety of platforms.

Key duties - Your responsibilities will include any or all the following disciplines across the full range of duties:
Test Management of all aspects of Software Testing across the Software Development Life cycle.
Leading a team with a clear delivery focus.
Leading a technical team and defining/improving service processes and procedures.
Day to day management of test activities and testers.
Stakeholder / Supplier Engagement.
Technical problem solving, developing and implementing solutions.
Essential Criteria:
Strong proven test management experience across all areas of software testing throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle.
Strong experience in automation testing and test management tools and demonstrate you have the technical ability to be hands-on.
Experience of a range of tools (e.g. Zephyr, JIRA, Postman, Bruno, Selenium, SOAP UI, Jmeter, Cucumber, Confluence) and experience with cloud-based systems.
Experience of working in multi-disciplinary team, using Agile methodologies to deliver products.
Experience with automation testing and continuous integration and relevant tools i.e. Ansible, Puppet, GitLab Runner and Jenkins.
Experience in release and configuration management processes using version control systems such as Git.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience of PVT and OAT.
A validated technical background (skills, experience and/or qualifications e.g. ISEB/ISTQB).
Experience in line management, managing teams and mentoring staff.
