Community Care Worker
Cullompton, Culmstock, Hemyock & Surrounding Rural Villages
Up to £26,000 per year | Paid for your whole shift | 45p per mile (paid on top of wages)
A rewarding local care role at the heart of rural communities
At Beehive Care Devon, we’re proud to support people living in rural villages to stay safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes. We believe care should never feel rushed — and neither should carers.
We’re a family‑feel, community‑focused care and training provider who do things differently. Whether you’re experienced or brand new to care, we take the time to invest in you with proper training, mentoring and a genuinely supportive team.
You’ll be paid for your whole shift — including travel time and gaps between visits — so you can focus on delivering meaningful care without watching the clock.

Shift patterns that suit rural life
We offer regular, consistent shift patterns, ideal for carers covering village routes:

7:00am – 2:00pm
7:00am – 4:00pm
4:00pm – 10:00pm

A variety of shifts is preferred but not essential.
✅ Alternate weekend availability is essential, covering at least two shifts per weekend.

Flexible and salaried contracts — choose what works for you
We offer contract options designed around real life, including something genuinely new and enticing within the care industry:
Salaried contracts – guaranteed pay for your full shift
Ideal for carers wanting consistency and financial security

Paid on a salaried basis for the full duration of your shift
Minimum 3 shifts per week, including alternate weekends
No unpaid gaps, cancellations or travel time

Flexible contracts – perfect for local, casual work
Great if you want flexibility around other commitments

Pay‑per‑contact, starting from £13.00 per hour
Enhanced pay for evenings and weekends
Casual work with no fixed weekly hours

All carers receive 45p per mile travel allowance on top of their wage — whichever contract they choose.

Where you’ll be working
You’ll be supporting people in rural and village communities, helping them remain independent and connected, covering:
Cullompton, Culmstock, Hemyock and surrounding villages
We plan routes carefully to keep them local, manageable and familiar, wherever possible.

What you’ll be doing
Your role will be varied, rewarding and people‑focused, including:

Providing kind, respectful personal care
Supporting with meals, medication and daily routines
Offering companionship and reassurance
Recording visits easily using our Beehive Care app

✨ New to care? That’s absolutely fine. We’ll support you step‑by‑step and help you build confidence at your own pace.
