The home offers 119 purpose designed bedrooms across three floors and provides complex nursing care, specialist dementia support and residential mental health care within a safe, structured and supportive environment focused on dignity, stability and wellbeing.

The Role
As Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for leading the housekeeping team and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained throughout the home. Your role will play a vital part in creating a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.
You will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, organising and delegating cleaning tasks to ensure all areas of the home, including residents’ bedrooms, communal spaces and facilities, are maintained to a high standard. Working closely with the Home Manager and wider team, you will ensure housekeeping services run efficiently and support the overall wellbeing of residents.
You will supervise and support housekeeping staff, providing guidance, training and ongoing support to maintain consistent standards of work. You will also be responsible for monitoring cleaning schedules, checking completed work and ensuring infection control and hygiene procedures are followed across the home.
Your role will include managing cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders where required and ensuring stock is stored safely and used efficiently. You will also respond to requests or concerns from residents and staff, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
Working as part of the wider team, you will help ensure the home remains clean, organised and welcoming while maintaining compliance with health and safety and infection prevention policies.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning supervisory role
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to manage and support a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Understanding of health and safety and infection control procedures
