Summary
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Assistant to support our ready meals production team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining food safety, quality standards, and compliance within our food manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
Support the technical and quality team in maintaining food safety and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with HACCP, BRC, and food safety regulations.
Carry out factory inspections, hygiene checks, and internal audits.
Assist with product specifications, documentation, and traceability records.
Monitor production processes to ensure quality and safety requirements are met.
Support customer and supplier technical documentation where required.
Assist with complaint investigations and corrective actions.
Work closely with production and development teams to maintain product consistency.
Requirements
Previous experience in a food manufacturing or ready meals environment.
Good knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and quality systems.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced food production environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Preferred
Food Science / Food Technology qualification.
Level 3 Food Safety or HACCP training.
Experience working with retail or food service specifications.
