Hybrid/Remote Working: Fully on-site role
Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Role information:
- This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Health and Safety Practitioner based in Cumbria on major projects. You will be working within the Site based team alongside our Quality manager and Site Managers. The Role of the Health and Safety Practitioner will report to the Director and support the site team. To support the organisation in maintaining a safe and legally compliant working environment by providing competent health and safety advice, conducting risk assessments, monitoring compliance, and promoting a positive safety culture across all operations.

Qualifications/Experience Required
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
- Chartered Member of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health
- Must have experience of local/Cumbria nuclear projects
- Experience in a health and safety role within the nuclear industry
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Prepare, review, and update risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Identify hazards and recommend practical control measures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Produce detailed investigation reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain health and safety records and documentation.
- Investigating all site accidents, including dangerous occurrences and near misses, recommending means of preventing recurrence, filling out the relevant forms and notifying appropriate authorities.
