We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Manager to lead the provision of high-quality catering services across the contract.​

This role requires a strong people leader who can guide, support and motivate teams to deliver an efficient, safe and customer-focused service.​

You will foster positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and external partners, ensuring a consistent and professional approach.

Job Description

We are looking for an individual who can drive operational performance, uphold compliance standards and deliver continuous improvements across the catering function.​

You will be responsible for effective planning, resource management and reporting to ensure the contract meets all requirements and achieves ongoing development.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and provide direction, guidance and support to staff within all areas of the catering service.

Set, monitor and evaluate objectives and targets for the contract and produce a Business Plan.

Plan, allocate and monitor work to ensure team and contract objectives are achieved.

Oversee recruitment, training, development and succession planning for staff.

Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures relating to food safety, operations, HR and staffing.

Maintain a healthy, safe and secure environment in line with Health & Safety legislation.

Manage people and financial resources to maximise contract profitability.

Produce accurate and timely reports for the client and the company.

Promote and develop company services, highlighting business growth opportunities.

Maintain operational quality standards and complete food safety audits.

Evaluate proposed service changes, identifying financial, personnel and operational implications.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Solid experience in food production.

Clean and well-presented appearance.

Pleasant, engaging and supportive team member.

Ability to work unsupervised and lead catering operations.

Experience in healthcare patient feeding.

Experience in retail catering environments.

Ability to support menu planning.

Flexible and proactive, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Ability to monitor and maintain strong KPI performance.
