Your role
Our administrative teams are the core of our National Services delivering great customer service to enable Justice.
At Social Security and Child Support (SSCS) we are responsible for a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases through the tribunal system. Our teams will be expected to liaise with Judiciary and venue clerks as well as feel comfortable answering phone calls from our contact centre or other offices.
Typical roles include data entry of paper and digital work, making sure these entries are accurate, telephony, customer complaints and correspondence. We empower our staff to be the voice of our customers, giving them opportunity to make changes that matter to our users.
You will deal with enquiries from service users via post, email and telephone. Types of work we deal with include case management, queries from clients and Judiciary, and general processes, for example, processing further evidence or listing an appeal for a hearing.
Your skills and experience
Strong customer service skills with the confidence to support our customers via the telephone, webchat and email
Experience of working in an administrative role in a customer focussed environment
Proficient with IT and Microsoft Software packages
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Exceptional attention to detail
For a full job description, please read supporting document included below before applying.
Further details:
These operational roles are customer facing, requiring successful applicants to be office based to provide HMCTS services to the public. Non-contractual hybrid working may be available and will be determined by the business only when it has been established that delivering the service from home can be done effectively. We cannot facilitate requests for a particular work from home/working in the office schedule.
Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday). HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment. All applications for part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns will be considered in accordance with the MoJ’s Flexible Working policy.
Occasional travel to other courts
For this post, occasional travel to other National Services sites may be required for cover when needed.
