Are you an experienced Social Worker driven to achieve the best outcomes for children and families? Do you value restorative, strengths‑based practice? If so, Lincolnshire County Council could be exactly where you belong.

We’re looking for Social Workers to join our East Lindsey FAST Teams, based in the market towns of Louth and Horncastle.

Louth blends historic charm, independent shops and a vibrant food scene, all set at the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Horncastle, also on the edge of the Wolds, offers beautiful countryside, scenic walking and cycling routes, and easy access to both Lincoln and the coast.
Why Lincolnshire?

From peaceful countryside villages to the stunning Lincolnshire coastline, East Lindsey offers a refreshing escape from the pressures of city life - without losing the sense of community, activity, or connection. With housing far more affordable than in many other parts of the UK, you can enjoy more space, greater stability, and real room to breathe.

With a hybrid pattern of three days on site and flexible options like a nine‑day fortnight, it’s easier to build a work–life balance that genuinely works for you.

Lincolnshire County Council is proud to have one of the strongest Children’s Services in the country, recognised with an Outstanding Ofsted rating that we have successfully maintained. Our teams are committed, child‑centred and continually improving.

Our practice model, Signs of Safety, is rooted in restorative practice - empowering families by recognising their strengths, networks and voices. The child is at the centre of every plan we create.

About the Role – Level 2 Social Worker

As a Level 2 Social Worker, you will:

Assess social care needs, develop support plans, and lead reviews.
Manage a varied and often complex caseload, providing consistency and stability for children and families.
Mentor less experienced colleagues and support students on placement, helping grow the next generation of practitioners.
About the Role - Advanced Practitioner

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will:

Manage complex caseloads, including high‑risk plans and specialist court work, completing robust assessments and interventions.
Provide mentoring, coaching and day‑to‑day professional support to less experienced colleagues, shaping practice across the team.
Take up opportunities to become a Practice Educator, supporting the development of Social Work students.
Access clear development routes into management, supported by our ‘Bridging the Gap’ programme designed to prepare Advanced Practitioners for future leadership roles.
A supportive, development focused environment

We understand the emotional challenges of social work—and we make sure you’re supported every step of the way.

You will benefit from:

Monthly formal supervision and monthly group learning.
Regular team meetings and an annual team development day.
Accessible, informal support from managers and colleagues when you need to test ideas or reflect.
Strong commitment to continuous professional development, with access to Research in Practice and fully funded PQ modules, including Practice Educator training.
Excellent health and wellbeing support
Our offer to you

We take pride in offering one of the most comprehensive benefits packages in local government, designed to support your wellbeing, work–life balance and long‑term financial security.
