* Optimise queries and data structures to support real-time or near real-time planning performance.
Forecasting & Analytics Support
* Provide structured, feature-rich datasets for statistical and machine learning forecasting models.
* Collaborate with data scientists and analytics teams to deliver model-ready datasets.
* Manage different forecast versions (baseline, promotional, consensus) to support analysis and comparison.
Testing, Validation & Quality Control

* Monitor pipelines and introduce logging and alerting for failed jobs or anomalies.
* Maintain a full audit trail and traceability from data source to end use.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
* 5+ years’ experience in a Data Engineering role within mid-to-large organisations (FMCG or manufacturing experience
beneficial).
* Strong expertise in modern data platforms and cloud technologies (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also considered).
* Proven experience working with:
* Data lakehouse architectures (e.g., Delta Lake, Snowflake or similar)
* ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Informatica or Talend
* SQL and programming languages including Python and Spark
* Real-time data streaming technologies such as Kafka or Azure Event Hub
* Experience integrating enterprise systems including ERP platforms (Infor ION), REST/SOAP APIs, and flat file interfaces.
