Your new role
Hays Education are seeking an experienced and adaptable HLTA to join us on a 1‑year maternity cover. You will deliver learning activities independently or alongside teachers, supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups.
Your expertise will be matched to the needs of individual students, so the age group you work with may vary from early years to post‑16. The role involves working across hospital and school environments and collaborating closely with education and healthcare staff.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you must have:
- HLTA status or relevant, high level experience
- Confidence delivering learning activities independently
- Experience supporting children with additional, medical, or emotional needs
- Strong communication, flexibility, and resilience
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
