Happy Hours Preschool in Shoreham are looking for a new practitioner to join their wonderful team. Happy Hours is a well-established, term time only setting, welcoming children 18months – 5-years-old located within a beautiful church hall in central Shoreham.
We believe in child led learning and give children the opportunity to learn within an exciting, enabling environment and skilled staff interactions. We pride ourselves in being part of the local community, enjoying outings in our local surroundings. Our welcoming environment ensures that we promote equality and diversity and helps us to form valuable and strong partnerships with families. We are OFSTED rated ‘Good’ and received special praise for the way we support the most vulnerable children and families within our setting.
The successful candidate will have good communication skills and be able to work well alongside others. They will have the ability to adapt to children’s needs and support them appropriately with an understanding of child led learning. A Level 3 qualification with experience is essential with knowledge and experience in SEND an advantage.
Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do at Happy Hours which is part of the Early Explorers Childcare group, and therefore the role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and relevant references.
Hours will be between Monday - Friday - 25.5 - 32 hours per week - term time only
3/4 days per week to be discussed at interview
Mon - Thurs 8.30am to 4.30pm
Fri - 8.30am - 2.15pm
Termly contract
Duties will include -
Supporting children's development through play and learning
Caring for children
Assisting in the daily running of the setting
Maintaining the environment
Helping to keep children safe and adhering to our solid safeguarding measures
Start date: 13th April 2026

Salary: £12.90
