Our client, a leading educational institution in Hexham, Northumberland, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. - Provide one-on-one or small group support to SEND students, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs
- Assist with the implementation of personalised learning plans and educational strategies
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support the personal and social development of SEND students, promoting their independence and self-confidence
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents/carers and the wider school community
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge
- Relevant experience in a SEND Teaching Assistant or similar role
- Strong understanding of SEND educational practices and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents/carers
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting the educational and personal growth of SEND students
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Relevant qualifications in education, special needs, or a related field would be an advantage
