Sydenham High School is seeking to appoint a highly organised and motivated Examinations & Attendance Officer to support the effective operation of key school systems. This important role combines responsibility for the administration of all internal and external examinations with the daily management of attendance processes, contributing directly to the smooth running of the school and the success of our students. The successful candidate will coordinate the full examinations cycle in line with statutory requirements and school policies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent attention to detail at every stage. They will also oversee attendance recording and monitoring, supporting the school’s commitment to safeguarding, engagement, and high standards of student attendance. In addition, the post holder will provide high‑quality administrative support to teaching and support staff, maintaining efficient office systems and contributing to the wider work of the school’s administrative team. This is a full‑time, term‑time role (Monday to Friday), with additional days required during the summer holiday period. Due to the nature of the examinations cycle, applicants must be available to work flexibly as needed, particularly throughout August—from A‑level results day until the end of the month—to support the processing and distribution of examination results.
