IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Tree Officer to join a busy and friendly team based in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience working with trees, such as a tree surgeon, who is looking to move into a role focused on tree management and protection.
Key Duties-
Assess the impact of development proposals on trees.

Review and make decisions on Tree Preservation Order (TPO) applications.

Inspect trees across parks and public spaces to ensure safety and proper management.

Oversee maintenance activities including pruning, felling, and planting.

Manage contractor work relating to tree maintenance and planting programmes.

Support initiatives to enhance urban biodiversity and amenity value.

Previous experience working with trees and plants.

Background as a tree surgeon or similar arboriculture role.

Good understanding of tree management and maintenance practices.

Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.

£15.56 per hour.

Monday to Friday working pattern, 8am - 5pm.
