Cancer Admissions Triage Team CNS
Band 6 Post 22.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the established Cancer Admissions Avoidance Team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS
Trust for a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist Team. We are looking for an
experienced, motivated, and dynamic nurse to join our friendly and forward thinking multi-disciplinary team.
As a Cancer Admissions and Triage CNS you would be involved in a range of activities including; acting as an expert oncology resource to patients and healthcare colleagues, offering evidence based advice through triaging patients using the UKONS proforma, maintaining telephone clinics and facilitating patient flow 7 days a week. Being able to recognise
complications related to treatment and where possible minimise the need for hospital admission is key.
Applicants should have significant post registration experience at Band 5 or above within an oncology setting. The applicant will need to be able to demonstrate evidence of specialist knowledge and experience relating to all aspects of oncological malignancy. The Cancer Admissions Triage Team play a vital role in participating in audits and feeding back to the wider
oncology team, as well as teaching in both a group setting and during 1:1 sessions.
Informal visits are highly recommended.
