m2r Education is working in partnership with a leading further education college in Cambridge to recruit a full-time Hairdressing Lecturer on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced Hairdressing Lecturer who is available immediately and looking for a teaching role within further education.

This role is 37 hours per week and requires an ASAP start. Only candidates who are fully compliant and available from next week will be considered.

As a Lecturer in Hairdressing, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Level 2 and Level 3 Hairdressing programmes. You will support student progress through effective tutorial delivery, assessment and feedback, while contributing to curriculum development within the Service Industries department.

You will play a key role in maintaining industry standards, preparing learners for employment, and ensuring awarding body requirements are met.

Working Hours:

Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging Hairdressing lessons across Level 2 and Level 3 programmes
Plan Schemes of Work and Assessment Schedules
Conduct assessment, moderation and internal verification in line with awarding body requirements
Track student progress and provide regular feedback
Undertake tutorial responsibilities and support learner achievement
Support work placements and employer engagement
Contribute to recruitment activities and college promotional events
Participate in curriculum development and course reviews
Maintain strong industry links within the Hairdressing sector
Promote safeguarding, equality and diversity within the college
Essential Requirements:

Level 2 and Level 3 Hairdressing qualifications
Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA or equivalent)
Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
Recent experience teaching Hairdressing within Further Education or a similar setting
Strong industry background in Hairdressing
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
Full compliance documentation
