Summary

Lecturer – Health & Social Care

Pro rata to full time salary of £29,662 - £43,662

Are you a passionate Health & Social Care professional with a flair for teaching? We are seeking an inspirational Lecturer to join the Care, Health & Early Years team on a part-time, full-year basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on learners’ careers while enjoying a supportive and innovative working environment.

What you’ll do:

- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Social Care programmes, including the upcoming T-Level in Health Science
- Provide associated tutorial support and guidance to learners
- Potentially take on the role of course leader for one or more programmes
- Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Support learners’ academic and personal development, promoting safeguarding and welfare
- Contribute to continuous improvement and professional development initiatives

What we’re looking for:

- Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualifications and occupational experience in Health & Social Care
- Full teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLS) or willingness to undertake L5 Diploma in Education & Training if holding L3 teaching qualification
- Experience teaching and assessing Health & Social Care or Health Science programmes
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for inspiring learners
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with learners and provide personal guidance
- Knowledge of safeguarding, student welfare policies, and effective problem-solving

Working pattern:

- 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (not Thursday)
- Primarily face-to-face teaching with flexible agile working options available
