Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Science team for a full-time lecturer on a fixed-term basis. This role is perfectly suited for an enthusiastic and flexible person.

We have an exciting opportunity within the department, where we need a dynamic and passionate person to join our forward-thinking team, teaching on our most popular Level 3 Forensic and Criminal Investigation with Applied Psychology course, and Level 3 Criminology with Public Services.

The successful candidate will join a strong team within a large, high functioning department. There are a range of modules available to teach including exam-based units and coursework: Psychological Approaches and Applications; Health Psychology; Conducting Psychological Research; Criminal and Forensic Psychology, Criminological Theories and Changing Awareness of Crime.

There will also be opportunities to work across a variety of programmes in FE and HE.

You will have an ability to promote, support and embed English and Maths skills within planning and delivery of all teaching. You should also be committed to providing prompt, detailed assessment of student work with experience of personal tutoring including target setting.

Teaching experience and/or a psychology, criminology and forensics background would be desirable although we are keen to hear from anyone with the right skills.

We offer a supportive culture which offers excellent CPD opportunities.

This is a fixed-term maternity cover role until December 2026 and is based at our Watford Campus. The closing date for applications is Monday 23rd March 2026.

You’ll have the full support of a dynamic team and opportunities to bring your ideas to the role. Training and development are at the heart of everything we do so you’ll be encouraged to upskill.

We have a free on-site gym and you can access a wide range of discounts and benefits including a cycle to work scheme, free on-site parking, pension, generous holiday scheme, time off at Christmas and early finishes on a Friday.
