Talent Education is currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis in schools across Rochdale. We are looking for compassionate, adaptable, and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This is a great opportunity for those seeking flexible work, whether you're looking for day-to-day supply, short-term placements, long-term roles, or temp-to-perm opportunities within supportive school environments.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils with additional needs access learning both in and out of the classroom.

Roles may include 1:1 support, small group work, or general classroom support, depending on the needs of the school and the pupils you are supporting.

• Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, or SEMH needs
• Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning requirements
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson activities and classroom organisation
• Encouraging pupils to remain engaged, confident, and motivated in their learning
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Helping create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care experience desirable)
• A patient, understanding, and supportive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to different schools and classroom environments
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential

• Flexible day-to-day, temporary, and temp-to-perm opportunities
• Work across a variety of primary and secondary schools in Rochdale
• Competitive rates of pay
• Support from a dedicated consultant who understands your experience
• Access to training and professional development opportunities

If you are an SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible supply work in Rochdale, we would love to hear from you.
