About the Care Home Manager role:
Are you an experienced Care Home Manager looking for a leadership role in West Sussex that offers a genuine work-life balance?
Pivotal People is proud to represent a family-owned care group seeking a dedicated leader for their boutique residential home in Worthing. This is a rare opportunity to manage a small-scale, intimate service (under 30 beds) where the focus is firmly on person-centred care rather than corporate red tape.
With a Monday to Friday schedule and a supportive regional leadership team, this role is designed for a manager who wants to lead with heart while maintaining their own professional well-being.
The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the home. You will be joining a group that values autonomy, providing you with the "room to breathe" to implement your own processes and drive the service toward an "Outstanding" CQC rating.
Key Responsibilities:
CQC Compliance: Acting as the Registered Manager, overseeing all regulatory requirements and daily operations.
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a committed care team in a calm, person-centred environment.
Operational Excellence: Collaborate with group directors to implement technology-led process improvements.
Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and local healthcare professionals.
What You’ll Need
Experience: A proven track record as a Care Home Manager or Registered Manager with a history of successful CQC inspections.
Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Expertise: A deep understanding of the Care Act, MCA, and DoLS.
Values: A leadership style defined by kindness, calmness, and responsibility.
Right to Work: Applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK (No sponsorship available).
Why Apply?
Work-Life Balance: Primarily Monday to Friday working hours—rare in the care sector.
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 base salary negotiable depending upon experience plus a performance-related bonus.
Professional Support: Access to a peer network of managers across five local Sussex homes.
Ethical Standards: Working for a provider proudly aligned with the Living Wage Foundation.
