Are you ready to play a key role in keeping our hospitals running during the moments that matter most? We’re looking for an energetic and motivated Business Continuity Lead to join our Corporate Operations Team. In this role, you’ll help the Trust prepare for and respond to anything from everyday disruptions to formally declared Business Continuity, Critical or Major Incidents. Your work will strengthen the resilience of our services during bank holidays, industrial action, service changes and essential maintenance.

You’ll also step up as the Trust EPRR lead when the Head of EPRR is away, supporting the Deputy COO in managing major and critical incidents — often at short notice. Your advice will guide staff, Care Group Directors and senior leaders as they navigate challenging situations.

We’re looking for someone who can communicate clearly and confidently, whether briefing the Board of Directors or working with partners across the region. Building strong relationships with the ICB and the regional NHS EPRR team will be essential in shaping joined‑up responses and mutual support.

This is a role for someone who thrives under pressure, works independently and handles sensitive information with care. If you enjoy variety, responsibility and the chance to make a real difference when it counts, we’d love to hear from you.

Please ensure you have permission of your current line manager before applying for a secondment opportunity.

• Work independently, using your own initiative and maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
• Carry out a range of duties without direct supervision, following broad procedural guidelines.
• Support the Head of EPRR and relevant managers in maintaining and developing the Trust’s Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) strategy.
• Provide expert EPRR advice to Care Group Directors, Assistant COOs, Bronze Commanders and Department Heads when the Head of EPRR is absent.
• Act as the Silver Staff Officer during a Major Incident.
• Lead Business Continuity across the Trust, offering strategic leadership and specialist guidance.
• Represent the Trust at health and multi‑agency meetings on EPRR matters.
• Participate in management meetings to progress the emergency planning, resilience and business continuity agenda.
• Manage agreed Business Continuity resources and budgets.
• Support the preparation of reports, papers, briefs and communications.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned by the Head of EPRR.Travel within the Trust area as required.
