We know how important it is for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to have their voices heard. That’s why we’re looking for someone who can lead the way on co‑production across our local area partnership and help shape services that make a real difference.
As our SEND Co‑Production Manager, you’ll take a strategic role in bringing people together, building trust and influencing senior leaders across the council, health, education and the parent‑carer community. You’ll help ensure lived experience genuinely informs decisions and future plans.

You will be:
- leading strategic co‑production across the SEND transformation agenda
- working with senior partners to embed participation in service design and delivery
- ensuring children’s, young people’s and families’ voices shape key decisions
- supporting colleagues to grow their confidence in co‑production and engagement
- sharing clear, timely insights with leaders and boards.

You will bring:
- experience leading co‑production or participation at a strategic or system level
- clear, confident leadership with the ability to set direction, influence senior partners and bring people with you
- strong communication skills, with the confidence to facilitate conversations, challenge respectfully and create shared understanding
- experience building trusted relationships across multi‑agency environments
- a clear understanding of co‑production principles and engagement practice
- the ability to connect with people, navigate complexity and keep everyone focused on what matters most for children and young people
- a commitment to inclusion, fairness and improving outcomes.

The team
You’ll join a welcoming, collaborative team committed to making a difference for children, young people, and families across Suffolk.
We practice hybrid working, with a minimum of two days a week spent in the council offices. As Co-Production Manager, you will also spend time travelling across the county to meet with partners, families, community groups and providers, helping to build strong and trusted relationships.
