Choices Healthcare are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our company as a Care Manager with scope to progress to a Registered Care Manager (RCM) within 6-12months.
As a Care Manager you will provide a tailored, responsive and high quality service to individuals with various care needs. You will effectively manage a team of staff to deliver person centred and specialist services that meet our organisational standards and expectations.
You will work with families, social workers and other professionals to monitor and review each individual clients' progress, promoting and supporting clients' access to appropriate health care facilities, ensuring all records are reviewed as required and regularly up to date.
This role is also opened to any suitable candidate including, experienced Registered Nurses and Social Workers.

About You
The preferred candidate must have proven experience of supervising and line managing staff in different care settings, working in accordance with the organisational policies and government legislation. You should also have experience of managing change, misconduct, grievances and performance issues.
Knowledge and experience of CQC guidelines, regulations and what it takes to be a Registered Manager is essential, ensuring the service meets and maintains a high standard of care service delivery. You will be expected to register with CQC.
Typical duties will include:
To represent and promote all services of Choices Healthcare
To maintain existing Choices contracts, procure new ones and retain all existing contracts as much as possible
Ensure management and policy decisions are implemented
Ensure the health and safety of clients in their own homes
To network with relevant local authority councils, contract service providers, brokerage teams and any other relevant agencies on behalf of both the organisation and clients
Undertake care visits/assessments
Quality Assurance including spot checks, supervisions, home visits etc.
Candidate requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in managing community care services
Supervision/management experience within health and social care settings
Possession of at least Level 3 NVQ in health and social care, and be willing to work towards level 5, if not already acquired
Must be familiar with the principles and operations of various care services and be able to manage the branch effectively using own initiative
Must be an excellent communicator, have experience of dealing with challenging situations and must be able to advocate in the best interests of our clients
Possession of driving licence and own vehicle are essential
A good attitude to work as well as flexibility are important for this position
Willing and able to step in as and when needed, in particular times of emergency is important
Although this role is based at our Ipswich branch, you must be willing to occasionally alternate between our existing branches and supported living accommodations which are in, Basildon (Essex),Southend-On-Sea (Essex), Bow (East London) and Erith (South East London).
This job is a full time, permanent position and the successful candidate will be offered between £27k-£30k per annum depending on experience and qualifications. The salary will increase up to £35k per annum for the RCM position.
