As a KS1 Teacher, you will:
• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
• Foster a safe, stimulating classroom that promotes curiosity and a love of learning
• Support pupils’ progress in reading, writing, maths, and the wider curriculum
• Deliver effective phonics sessions, including Read Write Inc. where appropriate
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and higher-attaining pupils
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards QTS
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Be confident teaching early reading and phonics
• Show a commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations
• Be reflective, proactive, and eager to develop professionally
• Bring warmth, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners
