Summary
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor on behalf of a well-established fire safety consultancy. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Fire Risk Assessor who is looking to take the next step in their career, with a clear pathway into a Head of Fire position in the future.
The successful Fire Risk Assessor will be based in or around the midlands but must be willing to travel nationwide to carry out fire risk assessing across a diverse portfolio of clients. The majority of projects will involve commercial and industrial premises, so strong experience in fire risk assessing within these sectors is essential.
This role is ideal for a Fire Risk Assessor who enjoys client interaction, managing their own inspections, and delivering high-quality fire risk assessments while representing a professional consultancy.
ResponsibilitiesConduct detailed fire risk assessments for commercial and industrial properties across the UK
Carry out professional fire risk assessing in accordance with current legislation and guidance
Produce high-quality fire risk assessment reports with clear recommendations
Communicate directly with clients and stakeholders regarding fire risk assessing findings
Provide professional advice on fire safety improvements following fire risk assessments
Manage your own schedule for fire risk assessing visits nationwide
Support the consultancy in developing its fire risk assessor capability
Required✅ Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Fire Risk Assessor
✅ Strong background in fire risk assessing for a consultancy
✅ Proven experience conducting fire risk assessments for commercial and industrial clients
✅ Excellent communication skills and ability to speak confidently with clients about fire risk assessing outcomes
✅ Ability and willingness to travel nationwide for fire risk assessing projects
✅ Strong report writing and organisational skills
✅ Relevant fire safety / fire risk assessor qualifications preferred
Salary up to £70,000
