Duties as General Science Teacher:
- Teach General Science across relevant secondary year groups
- Deliver well‑structured, engaging science lessons in line with curriculum expectations
- Support practical and theory learning through clear instruction and safe lab practice
- Maintain consistent behaviour routines and positive classroom environments
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet a variety of learner needs
- Assess progress and provide constructive verbal feedback
- Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative curriculum development
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal General Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Science
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3/KS4
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Able to motivate and support pupils of mixed abilities
- Good organisational and communication abilities
- Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality science teaching
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
