What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a Cover Supervisor who can demonstrate the ability to motivate, support and enthuse pupils.
The successful candidate will be able to work well within a year group team and also take responsibility for other classes across Key Stage 2 when needed, including PPA.
The successful candidate should be passionate about supporting young people in their learning, will enjoy engaging with our pupils and also demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and an 'inclusive ethos' across all year groups.
The ideal candidate will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for delivering agreed learning activities to whole classes of students. This will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning programmes to whole classes ensuring that the educational provision for students is not detrimentally affected by staff absence.
You will also be responsible for assessing the progress of students in lessons and recording assessments on the appropriate school systems.
What the school offers its staff
St Paul’s is anaspirational, nurturing and fully inclusive school that has been at the heart of the Withington Community for over 175 years.
Commitment to safeguarding
We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, younger learners and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment. The above post will be subject to enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references and will be exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. DBS Code of Practice.
