Cale Green Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Teacher to take a mixed-age class in Upper Key Stage 2 for 3 days each week. (There is also the possibility to do 2 days as a Teaching Assistant across Key Stage 2.) This is to cover a Maternity Leave for Autumn 2026 and finishing on Friday 28th May. You will be joining a very talented and supportive team. You should be a positive and vibrant person who loves working with children and helping them to strive for their best.
Children will be at the heart of your work. You must be able to demonstrate that you understand the importance of educating the whole child, that you want the very best for them and are prepared to ‘leave no stone unturned’.
The successful candidate will need to be a positive role model with high expectations of the children in your care. Our pupils are at the centre of everything we do and when we were inspected by Ofsted in January 2022, not only did we receive a ‘good’ grade, but they commented on our focus on developing positive relationships and our inclusive nature.
We would really like to meet you, if you enjoy working with children and have the ability to inspire learning and support development. You should have a high standard of general education with good numeracy and literacy skills. You will be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, have a flexible attitude, good sense of humour and be friendly and approachable. Experience of working with children, good time management and the ability to work flexibly using your own initiative are essential.
All applications will be considered so Early Careers teachers are more than welcome to apply alongside those with experience. Continual Professional Development is an important part of school life here at Cale Green for everyone.
We can offer a very talented and welcoming team of staff who all care about the school and providing the best possible learning environment for the children.
The application forms are available to download from here. Completed forms should be returned to the school via the email address or posted to the school address above. schooladmin@calegreen.stockport.sch.uk
You are very much invited to come and visit the school so please do contact the school to arrange a visit.
The successful applicant's appointment will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment clearances including a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
