Perfect Household Staff are delighted to be assisting a prestigious traditional sporting estate in the Scottish Highlands in their search for an experienced and reliable live-in domestic couple. The estate features a stunning main lodge that is let to guests throughout the fishing season, which runs from 8th March to 30th September. The lodge overlooks one of the finest salmon fishing rivers in the country and welcomes a high calibre of returning guests and the owners' family and friends throughout the season.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional domestic couple seeking a live-in position in one of the most beautiful and remote locations in Scotland.
The role offers modern, recently refurbished two-bedroom bungalow accommodation located approximately half a mile from the lodge, free of charge (with utility bills covered by the couple).
The successful couple will join a small, close-knit, and loyal team including an assistant housekeeper and a private chef.
Job Details:
Type: Live-In, Fixed-Term Contract for Season with Potential for Full-Time Year-Round Position
Working Days: 6 days per week
Working Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £55,000 per annum gross (Housekeeper: up to £30,000 per annum gross; Maintenance Person: £500+ per week)
Accommodation: Two-bedroom bungalow on estate provided free of charge (utility bills covered by couple)
Driving: Essential, own vehicle preferred

Starting Date: 15th March 2025 (ASAP)
Duties:
Housekeeper:
Prepare and serve breakfast for guests (typically 8–10 guests), including tea, coffee, and breakfast service from 7:30am
Clear away breakfast and set up the dining room for dinner service
Carry out daily housekeeping duties including making up guest rooms, cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining the lodge to immaculate standards
Assist the private chef with lunch and dinner service, including plating, serving, clearing tables, and washing up
Provide evening service for dinner (typically 7:30pm–8:00pm), serving food, clearing plates, and ensuring guests' needs are met
Welcome guests on arrival and provide a warm, hospitable lodge host presence throughout their stay
Respond to guests' reasonable requests and day-to-day enquiries with professionalism and discretion
Maintain excellent communication and teamwork with the assistant housekeeper and private chef
Ensure the lodge is immaculately presented and guest-ready
Assist with changeover day duties every Sunday
Maintenance Person:
Clear out and reset the living room fire each morning, ready for guests to light in the evening
Maintain estate grounds including mowing lawns, cutting hedges, and tending to flower beds
Ensure the external areas of the lodge and estate are neat, tidy, and well-presented at all times
Carry out light external painting and general property upkeep
Undertake routine repairs and maintenance tasks within the lodge and across the estate
Use the estate works van for supply runs and estate-related errands
Liaise with contractors when required for specialist works
Maintain tools, equipment, and grounds machinery in good working order
Flexible, hands-on approach to supporting the wider estate team as needed
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of private household or hospitality experience in similar roles
Valid UK driving licence + Own vehicle preferred (works van available for estate duties)
Comfortable living and working in a remote, rural location in the Scottish Highlands
Discreet, trustworthy, and professional
Two excellent, checkable verbal references from previous private household
Valid UK work permit
