THE TRUSTS





Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust (MSEFT) provides services to the residents of Southend, Basildon, and Chelmsford. It was formed in April 2020 by the merger of Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust, and Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  


Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) provides community health, mental health and learning disability services to support more 3.2 million people living across Bedfordshire, Essex, and Suffolk.  





Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.





EPUT and MSEFT are embarking on the implementation of a UK first of type Unified Electronic Patient Record (UEPR) system that spans Acute, Mental Health and Community services. The new system will be delivered through the Nova Programme, alongside our commercial partners for this significant transformative journey.

• This technical role requires the incumbent to assist with design, develop, test and implement solutions using specialised knowledge associated with integration of clinical messages within an Integration Engine environment in line with the digital strategy and a Digital Integration Analyst

• Support the analysis and documentation of user and business requirements, in both a technical and non-technical format for clinical and digital services consumers.

• Understand and apply relevant technical architecture strategies, policies, standards and practices.

• The position has day to day autonomy for resolving support issues and leading digital integration, independent of managerial supervision








1. Communication




• The post holder will receive and be supported in interpreting highly complex information regarding clinical systems providing recommendations and expert advice to the Infrastructure Team members and Digital Management teams as appropriate.




• Assisting in specific technical input regarding development and integration requirements to third party suppliers.




1. Analytical and Planning




• Will make some decisions around priorities regarding clinical and non-clinical systems developments with the senior members of the team.




• Flexibility in handling changing or conflicting priorities and resilience in overcoming obstacles or crises.




• Use and adhere to the Trusts agree Project management methodologies using available resources when delivering a complex development / integration project.




• Ability to work as part of a team, using own initiative, work unsupervised and prioritise own workload on occasion.




• Ability to plan Tasks and activities which may require adjustment due to variable workload.

• Planning a number of different priorities on a daily or otherwise basis. Prioritising as required due to organisational demands.
