Your new company
Desian Education are proud to be supporting an extremely inclusive and welcoming two-form entry primary school in Salford with amazing transport links as they are looking to appoint a teaching assistant for a full-time temporary contract to support a KS1 class. This is a full-time temporary contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week that will last the remainder of the academic year.
Your new role
You will be joining an experienced and supportive KS1 cohort, working in collaboration with class teachers to promote an inclusive and stimulating environment for all pupils. You will provide comprehensive ALN and academic support on a 1:1 and small group basis:
- Planning and delivering small group academic interventions to lower/mixed ability pupils
- Supporting with positive behaviour strategies
- Tracking pupil progress through learning journeys and recognising key milestones
- Reporting into SLT to give accurate feedback
- Delivering phonics interventions using RWI
What you need to succeed
- Good knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum
- Experience supporting ALN
- The ability to plan and delivering interventions in core subjects
- Relevant referenceable classroom experience
