Quality Inspector

Location: Pershore, Worcestershire
£13.40 – £15.75 per hour (DOE)
Permanent | Full-Time

We are a trusted precision manufacturer supplying into the Defence sector supply chain, and we’re looking for an experienced and driven Quality Inspector to join our growing team in Pershore.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering safety-critical components used in National Defence and other high-reliability industries. Your work will directly impact projects where quality, precision and compliance are absolutely essential.

The Role

As a Quality Inspector, you will:

• Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections
• Use precision metrology equipment including verniers, height gauges and multi-axis measurement arms
• Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications and customer quality standards
• Complete and support First Article Inspection (FAI) reports (AS9102 where applicable)
• Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
• Investigate internal and customer quality concerns
• Maintain accurate inspection and calibration records in line with national standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business

You will also support management in:

• Maintaining production throughput and meeting customer demand
• Identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks
• Training shop-floor personnel on quality standards and requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a Quality Inspector or Quality Technician role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Confident in selecting and using precision measuring equipment
• Strong ability to interpret technical and engineering drawings
• Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 3834, AS9100 / AS9102
• Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental standards
• A confident communicator who can work effectively with managers, customers and production teams
• A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
