Mornington Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our established and supportive team.This role will primarily involve working in Key Stage 1, with a strong focus on providing one-to-one support for a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Flexibility and a hardworking attitude are essential, as the role may also include supporting other children with SEND across the phase. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience of working in a school environment, supporting both classes and individual pupils, and will demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for improving outcomes for all learners. A tolerant and compassionate nature, along with a good sense of humour, would be a great asset to our team.The successful candidate will need to be:An excellent Teaching Assistant who is passionate about inspiring children to achieve high standards and reach their full potential.A strong team player who can work collaboratively with others and contribute to the school’s ethos and improvement initiatives.Enthusiastic and positive in their approach to supporting teaching and learning.Committed to maintaining high expectations for both themselves and the children they support.Passionate about educating and developing the whole child, both academically and personally.Able to promote inclusion effectively and maintain high expectations for all pupils, regardless of background or ability.Confident and experienced in working 1:1 with children, providing tailored support that meets individual needs and fosters progress both academically and emotionally.
