Secondary School SEN Teaching Assistant
£95-£115 per day | Full Time | Immediate Start Available
Remedy Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who require additional support to access learning and achieve their full potential.
The role involves supporting students with a range of needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties. You will play a key role in helping students build confidence, improve engagement, and develop both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
* Supporting learning across a range of secondary subjects
* Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
* Adapting resources to meet individual learning needs
* Promoting a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* A patient, proactive and resilient approach
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
