Crynodeb
The work of the department, service activity, clinical staffing, research and teaching activities varies across rotations: Information will be provided at local induction for each placement. Key areas of responsibilities Provide high quality care to patients in each specialty rotation The post holder must be medically qualified and maintain full GMC registration with licence to practise. To develop and maintain the competencies required to carry out the duties required of the post. To ensure patients are involved in decisions about their care and to respond to their views. Governance To participate in clinical audit and incident reporting. To ensure clinical guidelines and protocols are adhered to. To keep fully informed about best practice in the speciality areas. To role model good practice for infection control to all members of the multidisciplinary team. Leadership and team working To demonstrate excellent leadership skills regarding individual performance and clinical teams. To work collaboratively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and Imperial College London as required. To resolve conflict and difficult situations through negotiation and discussion, involving appropriate parties. To adhere to Trust/departmental guidelines on leave including reporting absence. Research opportunities Excellent research opportunities are available throughout the Trust and with Imperial College London. Teaching opportunities You would be expected to engage with and teach undergraduate and elective students. Opportunities may also arise for more formal teaching sessions.
