About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Female Live-In Support Worker to provide 1:1 support for a young man with complex needs living in Blackpool.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life by promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life within a home environment.

Please note: Due to the personal care requirements of this role, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be female in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

About the Individual

You will be supporting a 24 year old man with:

  • Severe learning disabilities

  • Epilepsy

  • PEG feeding requirements

  • Complex health and personal care needs

He requires consistent, person-centred support delivered with patience, understanding, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing 24-hour live-in care and support

  • Supporting with all aspects of personal care

  • Administering and managing medication

  • Managing and monitoring epilepsy, including seizure response protocols

  • Supporting and maintaining PEG feeding

  • Assisting with mobility and daily living activities

  • Encouraging engagement in activities and promoting independence

  • Maintaining accurate care records and reporting concerns appropriately

  • Working collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals

Essential Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs

  • Experience with epilepsy management

  • PEG feeding experience (or willingness to undergo specialist training)

  • A calm, confident, and compassionate approach

  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans accurately

  • Good communication and record-keeping skills

  • Flexibility and reliability
