Your new company
Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a mainstream primary school in Ashton as they are looking for a dedicated and reliable teaching assistant to join their team on a full-time temporary basis. This is an immediate start and will last the remainder of the academic year.
Your new role
This is an extremely inclusive and welcoming mainstream primary school that are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to a temporary contract to support a number of pupils across KS2. You will have the full support of the SLT and you will work in collaboration with class teachers to ensure that all pupil needs both academic and emotional are met. You will:
- Plan and delivering comprehensive ELSA interventions in a separate classroom
- Integrate into new pupil groups
- Hold 1:1 interventions in core subjects
- Maintain accurate pupil recorders including EHCP’s and learning journeys
- Give valid input during meetings
- Report progress and key milestones to the SENCO
What you need to succeed
To be considered in your application you must:
- Have full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Have or be willing to undergo an enhanced children’s DBS check
- Have experience working with SEMH (social emotional mental health)
- Have experience delivering ELSA and/or be ELSA trained
- Have relevant referenceable experience within a classroom or residential environment
