If so, this is an exciting opportunity to join our welcoming, supportive and innovative Educational Psychology Service as an Assistant Educational Psychologist.

You’ll work alongside qualified Educational Psychologists to support a wide range of service delivery activities. You’ll receive high-quality professional training, supervision and support as you develop your knowledge, skills and experience in educational psychology!

Help us to make a real difference to children’s learning, inclusion and wellbeing.

What can you expect?

In this role, no two days look alike. Your day may include:

Assisting with the delivery of training and consultation
Supporting systemic and early intervention work
Assisting with projects and service developments
Using psychological research and evidence to help shape what we do
Preparing clear, accessible written documents and leaflets

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has a passion and curiosity for using psychology, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people. You’ll thrive with us if you can:

Use psychological knowledge in practical, person-centred ways
Build warm, respectful and empowering relationships
Communicate confidently with children, families and professionals
Handle sensitive information thoughtfully
Stay organised when juggling different tasks
Work collaboratively to deliver outcomes

You will need a psychology degree that’s recognised as providing Graduate Basis for registration with the British Psychological Society, and you’ll be out and about regularly so the ability to travel is important.
