Are you an inspiring Early Years Manager or an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager ready for the next step? We are seeking a dedicated Setting Leader to oversee a thriving, nurturing childcare environment in Reading. This leadership role focuses on delivering outstanding childcare, managing nursery occupancy, and driving staff development within a high-quality EYFS setting.
Key Responsibilities & Keywords
Ofsted Excellence: Lead the nursery through Ofsted inspections, ensuring all statutory requirements and "Outstanding" practice standards are met.
EYFS Leadership: Oversee the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, fostering a play-based learning environment.
Safeguarding & Compliance: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), maintaining rigorous health, safety, and child protection protocols.
Team Management: Recruit, induct, and mentor a team of Nursery Practitioners, Room Leaders, and Early Years Educators through consistent CPD and supervision.
Business Growth: Proactively manage nursery occupancy levels, marketing the setting to local families to maximize enrollment and financial sustainability.
Parent Partnerships: Build strong, professional relationships with parents and the local Berkshire community.
Requirements (Qualifications & Skills)
Education: Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Childcare (Level 5, Level 6, or Early Years Professional Status / EYTS highly desirable).
Experience: Proven track record as a Nursery Manager or Senior Deputy Manager in a "Good" or "Outstanding" setting.
Specialist Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice, pedagogy, and nursery finance/budgeting.
Certifications: Current Paediatric First Aid and advanced Safeguarding training.
