Summary

Action Staffing is actively recruiting a dedicated and inspiring Nursery Room Leader to oversee a vibrant room in a highly-rated early years setting in [Insert Location]. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a small team of educators, ensuring the highest standards of care, and creating an engaging, stimulating environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Room Management: Oversee the daily smooth running of the room (Baby, Toddler, or Pre-school), ensuring a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate your room staff, role-modeling excellent practice and delegating tasks effectively.

Curriculum & EYFS: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Person Supervision: Act as a Key Person and oversee the observation, assessment, and record-keeping (learning journals) for all children in the room.

Parent Partnerships: Act as the main point of contact for parents in your room, leading handovers, parents' evenings, and building strong, trusting relationships.

Compliance & Safeguarding: Ensure all setting policies, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety guidelines are strictly followed by everyone in your room.

Requirements:

Qualification: A full and recognized Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or BTEC).

Experience: Proven experience working in a nursery setting, with prior experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner highly desirable.

Knowledge: Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS framework, child development, and safeguarding protocols.

Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Clearances: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) and the right to work in the UK.
