Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday to Friday
Rota: Monday 8.15am – 4.30pm, Tuesday to Friday 8.15am – 3.45pm
Salary: Up to £42,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

About the Role
As a PSHE Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the personal, social, emotional and health education of pupils across Key Stages 3 to 5. Working with students who may have a range of SEND needs—including ADHD, ASD, and experiences of trauma—you will create a safe, nurturing and adaptive learning environment that promotes resilience, confidence and personal growth. This role requires a calm, caring professional who can build strong relationships, tailor learning effectively, and champion the wellbeing of every young person.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality PSHE and RSE lessons from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5, following national curriculum expectations.
Plan creative, engaging lessons and accurately assess pupil progress, addressing any underperformance.
Support students’ personal, social and emotional development, prioritising safeguarding and wellbeing.
Adapt teaching and curriculum content to meet a wide range of cognitive and SEN needs using a trauma‑informed, holistic approach.
Contribute to Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans, ensuring tailored support for each pupil.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and other professionals, attending meetings and supporting consistent approaches across school and home.
Assist with school trips, enrichment activities and the development of PSHE and RSE resources.
Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment through strong communication, effective behaviour management and empathy.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A valid teaching qualification is essential.
Subject Knowledge: Strong expertise in PSHE.
Experience: Proven experience teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5, with evidence of excellent student progress.
Skills: Effective classroom management, strong empathy, and the ability to create a nurturing, inclusive and safe learning environment.
